WHAT WE DO

Digital Platform: We operate two interconnected mobile applications:

Borla Client App: Enables households, businesses, and institutions to schedule waste pickups, track services in real-time, make digital payments, and rate service quality

Borla WMS (Waste Management System): Empowers waste collectors with GPS-guided routing, earnings tracking, customer communication tools, and performance metrics

Waste Collection Services: Through our hybrid model combining company-owned fleet and independent contractor network, we provide reliable, affordable, and on-demand waste collection services across urban and rural Ghana.

Sanitation Infrastructure: In partnership with the Government of Ghana, we develop and operate modern community sanitation facilities (toilets, showers, waste disposal points) serving underserved communities.

Recycling & Circular Economy: We collect, sort, and recycle plastic, metal, glass, and organic waste, partnering with recycling companies to divert waste from landfills and create value from waste materials.

Artemis II crew current update

It has been a historic day for the Artemis II crew, who are now bound for Earth after completing a fly-by of the Moon. Here's what has happened over the past few hours:

At around 19:00 BST, the Artemis II crew broke the record for the furthest humans have ever travelled from Earth - the previous record of 248,655 miles (400,171km) from Earth was set by the Apollo 13 crew in 1970

*The Orion spacecraft then passed behind the Moon, temporarily losing contact with Nasa back on Earth - the outage was expected and lasted around 40 minutes
"#Houston, #Integrity, #comms check," were the first words from mission specialist Christina Koch when contact was re-established, who also said it was "so great to hear the Earth again"

*While flying behind the Moon, the Orion spacecraft also reached its maximum distance from Earth - a new record for the furthest distance travelled by humans from our home planet

*The new record has been set at 252,756 miles (406,771km)
Next for the crew was a quick break before observing total solar eclipse, which lasted about an hour - the astronauts spent that time taking photographs and telling the science team in Houston what they could see, noting that there were "not enough adjectives" to describe the "surreal" experience

*As the four astronauts began the process of sending all their data from the past seven hours of observation to Earth, they also received a congratulatory call from US President Donald Trump.

Today, I remember and honor the life and legacy of a true statesman, Leader, and mentor, H.E Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings, the founder of Ghana's democracy and the first President of the 4th Republic. As someone who had the privilege of being guided by his wisdom and mentorship, I am forever grateful for the lessons he imparted and the trust he placed in me.

His leadership and vision not only shaped the National Democratic Congress's and Ghana's journey but also resonated globally, inspiring a generation of leaders and citizens worldwide. I had the privilege of witnessing firsthand his commitment to public service, his passion for justice, and his unwavering dedication to the Ghanaian people.
