these IMF narrative sometimes baffles me, every major economy is sensitive to one product, commodity or service one way or the other ... USA thrives on tech and innovation, China in manufacturing, gulf regions in crude and the list goes on. Ghana has been a hub for gold for centuries but gold exports was largely dependent on foreigners which denied the country of its full benefits. just as we are changing the narrative and handling things on our own through goldbod, all of a sudden IMF thinks our economy is gold sensitive. even if so we prefer it like that. it's better to be sensitive to gold than sensitive to nothing 🤩
